The 34th stop on the 2009-2010 Lucasi Hybrid All American Tour (produced by the American CueSports Alliance – ACS) was hosted on March 20 in Lakewood CO, at Greenfields Pool & Sports Bar. The $500 added event featured 35 players in a double-elimination 8-ball format on 7-foot Dynamo bar boxes.
Tony Piazza (Ft. Collins, CO) ended his run to the hot seat by outpointing Mark Morgan (Ft. Collins, CO) 5-2 in the A-side semifinals and Adam King (Ft. Collins, CO) 5-1 in the A-side finals. On the B-side, Mark Morgan was eliminated at 5th place at the hands of Mark Haddad (Westminster, CO) 5-1, joined by Steve Chan (Lakewood, CO) – a 5-3 victim of Ruben Silva Jr. (Colorado Springs, CO). Haddad then ousted Silva at 4th place by a 5-3 margin. Mark Haddad further won a trip to the tourney finals by virtue of his B-side finals win over Adam King (Ft. Collins, CO) 5-4. The tourney finals showcased Tony Piazza versus Mark Haddad, but Piazza dominated play with a 5-1 first-set win for the title!
By virtue of Mark Haddad being the highest-finishing ACS member in the event, he qualified for a free 8-Ball singles entry into the 2010 ACS Nationals in Las Vegas – courtesy of the ACS.
Lucasi Hybrid All American Tour sponsors include: Pool Cue Guru, Lucasi Hybrid Cues, Championship Billiard Fabric, Nick Varner Signature Cases and Billiard Gods Productions. All entries in the Tour are also entered into a drawing in June for a $950-$1,000 Lucasi Hybrid Cue.
